Wooden Puzzle - Chessboard Pentominos

The basic goal is to take the 13 Tetris-esque pieces out of the square and then try to get them back in.

If you ignore the colours, there are thousands of solutions, but it is difficult to find one. 

If you attempt the 'chessboard' pattern, there is only one solution, and it is extremely difficult!
